Hello! Welcome to guitarplaytime.co.uk, a website created by guitar students from Birmingham schools

Playtime ... or ..."Timed Play!"

Although intended primarily for younger players, playtime can of course be enjoyed by all first year guitarists.

Each daily Playtime lasts for around 10 minutes.

Each Playtime practice session contains various activities including warm ups, play-along videos, technical exercises, listen and copy, listen and remember and looped practice. Check lists and reminders of correct posture and technique also feature alongside definitions of musical terms. These support and compliment the practical work. Singing and clapping reinforce the learning of pitch and rhythm. Standard Music notation is introduced early in the Playtime sessions to enable pupils to approach a wide variety of music later on.

Although intended primarily for younger players, Playtime can of course be enjoyed by all first year guitarists.
