Instrument care 

​The guitar - the musical instrument on which we make sounds and create music.
Footstool - the adjustable stand on which the left foot is placed. This raises the neck of the guitar so it is more comfortable to play.
Strings - there are 6 strings of varying thickness on the guitar. Each string is tuned to a different note.

• Please insure your instrument - please visit The Classical Guitar Centre Ltd website for value. The guitar will either be a Ramirez 1NE or Ramirez RA. The model number is written on the label stuck to the inside back of the guitar. It can be seen by looking into the sound hole. The case is a Hiscox PROII-GCL-LARGE.
• Bring your Ramirez guitar to all rehearsals - not an inferior instrument.
• Damaged guitars will need to be repaired at the members expense. Please let me know and I can suggest a suitable luthier. For guitar repair please contact either: The Classical Guitar Centre Ltd, Jaydee Custom Guitars or Moseley Violins.

ADVICE FOR ALL

• Avoid tapping with nails on sound board or sides of guitar. For flamenco style golpe, please attach acetate but do not stick to surface
• Golpe tap the guitar with moderation - tap too hard and the internal fan struts will become unglued from underside of soundboard and the soundboard cracks.
• Please do not overfill case with sheet music. The pressure on closing the lid will crack the guitar back or sound board.
