The Glasgow Lyric Choir May 2010 after their performance of "From a Railway Carriage".

The Glasgow Lyric Choir performed Nick's "From a Railway Carriage" on May 9th 2010 at RSAMD Concert Hall in Glasgow. It was recorded by the BBC and broadcast on Performance on 3 in October 2010.

The Adopt-a-Composer scheme was a fantastic opportunity for me to develop my work with an enthusiastic ensemble. I very much enjoyed collaborating with the choir to create a new piece and I hope the performers enjoyed being involved from initial discussion of ideas and preliminary sketches, through to the performance of the piece.

This work was developed for Glasgow Lyric Choir as part of the Adopt-a-Composer scheme, funded by the PRSF and run by Sound and Music in association with Making Music.
